The Education Bureau has recently launched an Instagram account of VPET, providing an additional platform to promote VPET initiatives, activities and news etc.

The EDB announced on 28 June 2021 that four degree programmes have been selected for the Pilot Project on the Development of Applied Degree Programmes.

Young people interested in advising the Government on the promotion of VPET and QF may apply to become members of the Steering Committee concerned through the Member Self-recommendation Scheme for Youth Phase IV. The Scheme is now open for application until 26th May, 2021.

The Education Bureau has recently launched our Facebook page of VPET to share the latest information on VPET and to enhance public awareness and understanding.

Supported by the Education Bureau, the Vocational Training Council hosted the International STEM Students’ Forum 2020 on 16 May 2020.

On 15 May 2020, the Education Bureau and the Vocational Training Council jointly organised the first digital VPET International Conference in Hong Kong.

The Task Force on Promotion of VPET submitted its review report to the Government on 23 January 2020.

Hong Kong Team won 11 Medallions for Excellence in the 45th WorldSkills Competition held in Kazan, Russia.

The Government announced on 13 April 2018 the establishment of the Task Force on Promotion of VPET.

Hong Kong sent a delegation made up of 23 competitors to the 44th WorldSkills Competition, to be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from 15 to 18 October 2017.

On 16-17 June 2017, the Education Bureau and the Vocational Training Council jointly organised the VPET International Conference (also known as the “VPET Connex 2017”).
